MaXima film - Searching for a good movie
Professional career of a free lancer has always been uncertain but exciting. In a ten year pre-war period, until 1990, in time when Jadran-film was mostly making co-productions (except for few Croatian movies), the team of free lancers was given an opportunity to learn the craft directly from our experienced foreign colleagues. It was a unique chance to see how the movies are made out in the world, being at home. The experience gave us certain standards which we have used later on in our own, Croatian production.
However exciting, being a freelancer in the production business gave us no opportunity to creatively affect the "look" of the very movies which we made. Therefore, an idea to establilsh a production company of our own emerged.
Maxima film was founded in 1992, and since then it has diversed in several directions:
1. production of Croatian movies and documentaries
2. co-production and services to foreign film companies for shooting in Croatia
3. production of TV-program
We would like to underline our principle, which is reliability.
The fact is - in spite of numerous already made movies - there are many others yet awaiting to be realized.
